UP CM Yogi Adityanath Draws Comparison with Pakistan’s Governance in Jammu and Kashmir Polls
Kathua, Sep 26, KNT: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath addressed an election rally in Ramgarh, Kathua on Thursday, urging voters to support Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Dr. Davinder Kumar Manyal.
Adityanath highlighted the improved conditions for Hindu pilgrims, particularly those undertaking the Amarnath Yatra. “Devotees now chant ‘Bam Bam Bole’ with joy, whereas earlier, they faced numerous challenges,” he said. The UP Chief Minister praised the safety and security restored under the Modi government, contrasting it with the past.
“Today, Jammu and Kashmir is known as the tourism capital, not the terrorism capital,” he emphasized, crediting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.
Adityanath as per the news agency Kashmir News Trust criticized Pakistan’s governance, citing rising inflation and civil unrest. “While flour prices have surged to Rs 500 per kilogram in Pakistan, Prime Minister Modi has ensured 80 crore people in India receive free ration,” Adityanath noted.
The UP Chief Minister also accused opposition parties, specifically the JKNC, PDP, and Congress, of ruining Jammu and Kashmir during their governance. He said these parties supported militancy in 1990 and now seek to undermine BJP’s progress.
Adityanath challenged Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, asking if he supports the National Conference’s alleged agenda of reinstating division and strife. He emphasized the national flag’s significance, symbolizing unity and strength. [KNT]
