Soldier injured in Jammu Army base attack
Jammu, Sep 2, KNT: In an audacious attack, militants targeted the Sunjawan military camp in Jammu on Monday morning, leaving one army jawan injured.
The attack involved militants firing from a distance, prompting a swift response from the army. The base has been sealed off, and a search operation is currently underway to neutralize attackers.
It is not the first time the Sunjawan camp has been targeted by militants. In February 2018, a similar attack by Jaish-e-Muhammed (JeM) militants resulted in the deaths of six soldiers, a civilian, and three militants. The camp is the largest army base in Jammu.
The recent attack comes on the heels of several infiltration attempts foiled by Army in Jammu and Kashmir. [KNT]
