BSF Personnel Injured in Pakistani Firing Along Border

 

Akhnor, Sep 11, KNT: A Border Security Force (BSF) personnel was injured in the early hours of Wednesday when Pakistani troops resorted to firing on Indian posts in the Akhnoor area of the Jammu region.

According to a BSF spokesperson, the incident occurred at 2:35 am, and the injured personnel is receiving medical attention.

“The troops are on high alert, maintaining a strict vigil along the International Border and Line of Control,” the BSF said.

This ceasefire violation is rare since India and Pakistan renewed their ceasefire agreement on February 25, 2021. The last reported incident resulted in the death of a BSF jawan in the Ramgarh sector last year. [KNT]
