Anantnag, Aug 7, KNT: Two senior nurses at the Pediatrics Department of Maternity and Childcare Hospital (MCCH), Government Medical College (GMC), Anantnag, employed under the Hospital Development Fund (HDF) since 2013, are facing denial of wages.
The nurses have alleged that the in-charge Deputy Medical Superintendent creates hurdles and shows no interest in releasing their salaries.
Despite the challenges, the nurses stated that they have always worked with dedication, even during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The nurses have sought the intervention of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to resolve the issue.
One of the staffers on condition of anonymity told the KNT that the situation highlights the need for prompt action to address the wage denial and ensure that healthcare workers receive their due compensation for their dedicated service. [KNT]
