Khelo India Winter Games Rescheduled, Set to Begin in Gulmarg from March 9

 

Srinagar, Mar 3, KNT: With fresh snowfall blanketing the slopes of Gulmarg, the Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council has announced that it is fully prepared to host the much-awaited second leg of the Khelo India Winter Games from March 9 to 12.

The prestigious event, which was earlier postponed due to inadequate snowfall at the renowned ski resort, is now back on track, promising thrilling competitions in various winter sports disciplines. The fresh spell of snow has created ideal conditions for the games, and authorities are making final preparations to ensure a smooth and successful event.

“Sports enthusiasts and athletes from across India are expected to participate, with Gulmarg once again set to showcase its potential as a premier winter sports destination,” an official told the news agency Kashmir News Trust.

He said the Khelo India Winter Games aim to promote winter sports culture in the region while providing a platform for young talent to shine at the national level. [KNT]
