7 workers from Bihar injured in South Kashmir vehicle blast

At least 7 migrant workers sustained burn injuries and a few shops were damaged after a blast inside a vehicle in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Wednesday morning.
The incident occurred in Larkipora market of Dooru Anantnag.
Police said that an explosion occurred in the cement mix settling vibration machine, adjacent portable generator, and tin can of oil being carried with labourers in a load carrier. The police added that 8 labourers were injured with burn injuries who are being treated at the hospital.
Police said that all the injured are stable and there is no militant angle involved in the blast.
Eyewitnesses told news agency Kashmir News Trust that a Tata-Mobile (JK18-4476) was halted in the market when suddenly a blast occurred inside the vehicle. The front portion of several shops were damaged in the blast. “There was a loud bang. The migrant workers in the vehicle sustained burn injuries and were evacuated by locals to hospital,” they said.
All the 7 persons who were injured in the blast hail from India’s northern state of Bihar.
Medicos at Government Medical College Anantnag identified the injured as Chotu Kumar son of Surya Kumar, Parmjeet son of Jitendar, Bhawan Kumar son of Mohan Kumar, Fikan Lal son of Nand Lal, Jatin Reshi son of Nanda Reshi, Titu Kumar son of Mehar Kumar and Shan Kumar son of Nanda Kumar. [KNT]
