TASK gets its own office in Srinagar ‘Steps being taken to promote Kashmir tourism

Travel Agents Society of Kashmir popularly known as TASK which was set up in 1965 has finally got its own office in Kashmir capital Srinagar.

The new office is located in Khanyar area of the old city.

Secretary General TASK, Waseem Gosani told the news agency Kashmir News Trust that it was a dream come true. “The office was inaugurated by present president Muhammad Akram Siah in presence of past presidents and members representing other tourism bodies,” he said.

Those who were present on the occasion include the office bearers and managing committee of the TASK, TAAK, PILTOF, JK Alliance, AKTO, JK Chapters of TAAI, TAFI, ADTOI, Chamber of Commerce and Kashmir House Boats Owners Association.

Speaking on the occasion, the president TASK, Muhammad Akram Siah said that they are on toes to promote tourism in Kashmir Valley. He said several initiatives have been taken in this regard and many initiatives are in pipeline.”

He said TASK is mulling to organize road shows in many parts of India to promote tourism and in January, a road will be organized in Kolkata.

TASK members pledged on this occasion to take the tourism industry to new heights and do whatever is possible to promote and boost the Kashmir tourism industry. [KNT]
