Police recovered a damaged ATM in a village that was dismantled by unidentified robbers from an adjacent village in Central Kashmir’s Chadoora town of Budgam district.

The robbers uprooted the Jammu Kashmir Bank’s ATM from Panzan village and abandoned it in the adjacent village of Ganjbagh.

Police sources said that a case has been registered and an investigation set into motion. They said it is not clear how much cash the ATM was containing and how much has been stolen.

“It is a matter of investigation. The bank guard has been called to the police station for questioning and CCTV footage is being analyzed.” (KNT)
