Porter working with BSF slips from hillock in North Kashmir, critical

Kupwara, June 8, KNT: A porter working with Border Security Force (BSF) in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district sustained critical injuries after he slipped from a hillock while carrying food stuff from one border post to another.

Sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that a porter working with E.Coy 27 Battalion slipped from a height and fell down into a gorge while he was carrying food items from Sakha Post to Jeel Post in Karnah area of Kupwara.

The victim identified as Mushtaq Maqbool Mir, a resident of Dhaani village of Karnah was shifted to Sub District Hospital Tangdar where doctors referred him to Srinagar hospital for advanced treatment.

The condition of the porter is stated to be critical. Police in this regard have registered a case under relevant sections of law and set investigation into motion. (KNT)
