Amarnath Yatri suffers heart attack before boarding a flight at Srinagar Airport

A pilgrim from Bihar before boarding a flight at Srinagar Airport suffered a heart attack and died in the hospital subsequently.

Police source told news agency Kashmir News Trust that a 47-year-old yatri was about to board a flight at Srinagar Airport after performing Amarnath pilgrimage. He suddenly fell unconscious and was taken to Srinagar’s SMHS Hospital for treatment.

The said pilgrim died in the hospital. Hospital sources identified him as Prasad Jitendra son of Ram Nandan Mehta of Indian state Bihar. (KNT)
