Wine shop attack case in North Kashmir’s Baramulla cracked: Police

Baramulla, May 19, KNT: Police have claimed to have cracked the grenade attack case on a wine shop in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district that left a man from Rajouri dead and three injured.

Inspector-General of Police Kashmir Zone, Vijay Kumar said that Baramulla Police cracked the case of the recent militant attack on a wine shop.

In this regard, police have arrested 4 militants and an associate of LeT outfit.

Police have also recovered 5 pistols, 23 grenades and some explosive.

Kumar said that this militant module was involved in several militant incidents in Baramulla. He said further investigation is going on.

SSP Baramulla Rayees Bhat is expected to brief the media in this regard.

Pertinently, a militant hurled a grenade inside the wine shop that had been established recently in Deewan Bagh area of Baramulla. The grenade went off with a bang inside the shops leaving all the four non-Kashmiri employees injured among which one succumbed to his injuries.

Those who were present outside the shop to get the liquor escaped unhurt. (KNT)
