Kashmir: Court quashes labourer’s PSA detention

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir High Court Thursday quashed the detention of a North Kashmir laborer under the contentious Public Safety Act (PSA).

Court sources informed news agency Kashmir News Trust that the detention of Mushtaq Ahmed Wani, son of Abdul Rasheed Wani, a resident of Wahab Pora, Parray Mohalla Hajin was quashed by the court on Thursday, nearly seven months after he was arrested on charges of alleged stone-pelting in September 2021 and simultaneously booked under the PSA.
