Restaurant, two shops suffer damages in uptown Srinagar blaze

Srinagar: A restaurant and two shops were damaged in a late-night blaze in uptown Srinagar.

Sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that a fire broke out in a restaurant that spread to other two shops at main Baghat Chowk in Srinagar.

They said a shop was completely gutted while another shop and the restaurant were partially damaged.

Fire-tenders rushed to the spot and doused the fire. The cause of the fire is believed to be short-circuit.

Police in this regard have registered a case and set an investigation into motion. (KNT)
