Where is TV Factory at Ranreth, Asks KIRDF, Seeks LG’s intervention

Srinagar: Kashmir Industrial, Revival and Development Forum (KIRDF) Saturday expressed anguish over the ‘disappearance’ of ‘Kashkon TV Factory’ from Rangreth Industrial Estate here in Srinagar outskirts.

The Forum has appealed Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to look into the matter and ascertain facts about the said industrial unit.

Kashmir Industrial, Revival and Development Forum in a statement to news agency Kashmir News Trust said that there used to be a TV Factory at Rangreth Srinagar but nobody knows what happened to it and where is that TV factory.

“People used to visit SIDCO at Rangreth to buy Kashkon TVs but this factory doesn’t exit now which has raised serious questions over the functioning of State Industrial Development Corporation,” the Forum said.

It appealed LG administration to trace out the said factory. “We are shocked that this TV Factory disappeared from the scene as water disappears from sand. How and when it disappeared is a billion-dollar question that needs to be answered,” the Forum said and appealed LG to investigate the matter and make those people accountable who are behind the disappearance of that TV Factory.
