Nephew of BJP leader dies in Rajouri blast, 6 injured
Rajouri: Two-year old nephew of a BJP leader was killed while 6 other family members sustained injuries in an alleged grenade attack in Khandili area of Rajouri district of Jammu region.
Though police said seven persons were injured in a mysterious blast among which one succumbed to his injuries, however, the family of BJP leader Jasbir Singh who is BJP Mandal President Rajouri Urban claimed that it was a grenade attack.
A police official told news agency Kashmir News Trust that seven persons including the two nephews of BJP leader were injured in the blast among which 2 year old Veer Singh succumbed in the hospital.
He identified the injured as BJP leader Jasbir Singh, Romesh Chander, Sita Devi, Karam Singh, Arjun Singh and Balbir Singh.
Injured are being treated in the hospital,” the police official said. (KNT)
