Search operation launched after villagers spotted a ‘drone’ near Akhnoor border

AKHNOOR: After the information received from villagers about the presence of a drone, Jammu Police on Friday morning launched a search operation near Akhnoor village of Jammu.

Villagers informed police they spotted a blinking light that was possibly of a drone. The possible drone was spotted flying close to bordering villages near Bhalwal and Pargwal.

A police official told news agency Kashmir News Trust that search operation was immediately launched after they received the information, however, nothing was found during the operation.

Pertinently, last week, Jammu Police shot down one hexacopter fitted with a 5 kg Improvised Explosive Device near Kanhachak-Akhnoor area. (KNT)
