GANDERBAL: Police arrested two persons including a contractor for smuggling over 200 cement bags meant to be used by the Border Road Organization (BRO) in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
“A contractor and a driver have been arrested, besides the tipper in which cement bags were being smuggled was also seized by police in Kangan,” police sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust.
Police have set investigation into motion to find out where the cement was being taken who supplied these bags to the contractor illegally.
The contractor and the driver have been identified as Ishtiyaq Ahad Shah and Altaf Ramzan Kumhar, both residents of Fraw Haknar area of Gund Kangan. (KNT)
