SRINAGAR: Prof Aziz-ul-Azeem, former Dean Academic Affairs, Head of Department Mathematics and Co-coordinator P-G courses passed away this evening at Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences Soura.
Prof. Azeem was undergoing treatment after tested positive for Covid-19.
University sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that Prof Aziz-ul-Azeem breathed his last on hospital bed. He had been admitted in the hospital yesterday.
Dr Aziz is the brother-in-law of Dr Salima Jan, Director EMRC. He was veteran Mathematician who came up with Aziz’s Theorem way back in 2003.
Pertinently, two Professors who were in active service lost their lives in May due to Covid-19. (KNT)
