#Video: Kittens of Jungle Cat Captured in Central Kashmir’s Budgam

He said kittens of Jungle Cat have black spots on their ears. “Jungle cat that lives mostly in swamps feeds on small mammals and birds.”

BUDGAM: Locals in Central Kashmir’s Budgam village spotted three jungle cat kittens, which they dubbed as leopard cubs.

The video of these kittens are viral on social media and these are being dubbed as leopard cubs.

Reports said that locals in Parlar village of Budgam spotted and captured three cubs near PHE reservoir. Videos of these cubs were uploaded on social media and even some news channels dubbed them as leopard cubs.

Block Officer Wild Life Department for Chadura Budgam, Bashir Ahmed told news agency Kashmir News Trust that they are not leopard cubs but kittens of jungle cat. “It is very unfortunate that these kittens were dubbed as leopard cubs. This will create panic among local population,” he said.
